Da mich nach meiner Haarspende im Dezember 2017 einige von euch gefragt haben, ob ich mehr dazu berichten kann, möchte ich das nun auf diesem Wege tun.
Wie kam ich auf das Ganze? Nun ja, vor etlichen Jahren hat mir eine Freundin erzählt, dass sie zu einem Friseur geht, der ein Haarspendeprojekt für krebskranke Kinder ins Leben gerufen hat. Das Ganze blieb mir eigentlich nur deswegen im Gedächtnis, weil dort direkt nach ihr eine Kundin immer nur zum Haarspenden hinkam und sie vorab gewarnt wurde, dass es sein kann, dass diese ein blödes Kommentar ablässt, weil die besagte Freundin ihre Haare nicht spendet. Ich fand das damals irgendwie absurd, dass sich jemand darüber aufregt, wenn man seine Haare nicht spenden will.
So kam es, dass ich mir 2017 dachte, wieso eigentlich nicht mal Haare spenden? Wenn man mit so etwas Einfachem einem Kind eine ganz große Freude machen kann, dann ist das doch das Schönste auf der Welt. Meine Haare haben mich so viele Jahre lang begleitet und klar, waren sie ein Teil von mir, aber meine Haare wachsen nach. 🙂
Wie war der Ablauf? Per Facebook habe ich mich an Holger Thomas Moeller vom Verein Die Haarspender gewandt, um mein Interesse kundzutun. Von da an ging alles recht schnell. Es wurde ein Termin vereinbart, was total komplikationslos verlief und ich konnte mich schon mal auf meine neue Frisur einstellen. Am Tag X kam ich bei Holger an und wir haben erstmal besprochen, wie viel wegkommt und was ich mir dann für meine Haare vorstelle. Im Zuge der Spende konnte ich mir meine Wunschfrisur inkl. Farbe gratis aussuchen – vielleicht auch ein Goodie, wenn man noch Zweifel hat seine Haare zu spenden. Der Schnitt ging relativ schnell und ich war übere meine neue Frisur überglücklich.
Fazit: Für mich persönlich war es eine der besten Entscheidugen, die ich je getroffen habe. Man kann schnell und vor allem auch ohne Geld etwas Gutes tun. Das Gefühl, das man danach hat ist unbeschreiblich schön und ich muss sagen, es gab keine Minute, nein, keine Sekunde in der ich es bereut habe, die Haare gelassen zu haben.

Since some of you asked me after my hair donation in December 2017, if I can tell more about it, I would like to do this here.
Why did I decide to donate my hair? Well, a couple of years ago, a friend told me that she had her hair cut at a hairdresser who started a hair donation project for children with cancer. The whole thing really stuck to me just because right after her a customer came to donate hair and she was warned in advance, that it may be that this girl makes a stupid comment because the said girlfriend does not donate her hair. I found that somehow absurd at the time that someone could mock someone else about not donating hair.
As things go, in 2017 i thought, why not? If you can make a child happy with something so simple, then that’s the best thing in the world. My hair has been with me for so many years and of course, they were a part of me, but hair will grow back. 🙂
How was the process? I wrote Holger Thomas Moeller from the club Die Haarspender on Facebook to find out more about donating. From then on everything went pretty fast. An appointment was made, which was totally uncomplicated and I was able to get used to the idea of a new hairstyle. On day x I arrived at Holger and we first discussed how much of my hair has to go off and what kind of hairstyle I wanted to have. I was able to choose any hairstyle and color of my liking because of donating for free – maybe also a goodie, if you still have doubts.
For me personally, it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. You can do something good quickly and above all without money. The feeling that you have after donating is indescribably beautiful and I have to say that there was not a minute, not a second that I regretted it.
